Job Description

This role reports into the Strategy & Business Operations function of the US Oncology Business Unit (US OBU). Our team strives to be a driving force within the US OBU, fostering innovation and growth across the organization.

In this role, you will assist in the development and refinement of strategic frameworks, leverage AI to improve processes, and improve ways of working. This position is uniquely poised to shape the future of oncology by nurturing processes, fostering innovation, and embedding operational excellence across the organization.

As the Strategy and Operations Intern, you will support strategic planning, operational execution, and cross-functional coordination within the US OBU. Your contributions will span launch readiness, organizational planning, and process optimization initiatives.


How You Will Contribute:

As a Strategy and Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support US OBU strategy initiatives, including dashboard development, project tracking, and analyzing functional contributions.

  • Assist with launch readiness planning for products, including tracking deliverables and stakeholder alignment.

  • Contribute to organizational planning efforts, including large group meetings and events.

  • Leverage AI tools and digital platforms to enhance decision-making, efficiency, and organizational insight generation.

Internship Development Opportunities:

  • Assist with launch readiness planning for products such as Rusfertide, using AI-enabled dashboards and predictive tools to track deliverables and identify risks.

  • Document and analyze functional contributions to strategic priorities using collaborative platforms and real-time analytics.

  • Contribute to organizational planning efforts, including large events, town halls, and home office huddles.

  • Participate in project tracking, assumption validation, and dashboard development using tools such as Power BI, Excel with AI plugins, and internal data platforms.


Job Requirements:

  • This position will be hybrid-based out of the 35 Lansdowne, Cambridge, MA, location.

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (Senior) or Master's in Business Administration, Master's in Public Health, Strategy/Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to synthesize, communicate, and visualize strategic insights.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with SharePoint and digital collaboration tools.

  • Comfort working cross-functionally with teams.
     

Internship Eligibility 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship  

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later  

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)   

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames   

  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates   

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
