Simtra BioPharma Solutions (Simtra) is a world-class Contract Development Manufacturing Organization, partnering with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to bring their sterile injectable products to market. With facilities in Bloomington, Indiana, US and Halle/Westfalen, Germany, we offer a wide range of delivery systems including pre-filled syringes, liquid/lyophilized vials, diluents for reconstitution, powder-filled vials and sterile crystallization.

This role:

Simtra is seeking highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students for our Summer Internship Program. We look for diverse students with inquisitive minds and the desire to challenge themselves. Our interns work closely with industry professionals and learn quickly how to problem solve on real-world projects that contribute to clinical research and manufacturing processes. In addition to on-the-job experience, we offer professional development sessions, site visits, and social events.

 

The Opportunity:
The Project Associate Intern will support strategic initiatives and operational projects within the Commercial Business Management team. This internship offers hands-on experience in project coordination, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, providing valuable exposure to business operations and commercial strategy.

 

Responsibilities/Projects:

  • Assist in planning and tracking progress of key commercial projects
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for business performance metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare presentations and documentation for internal stakeholders
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions
  • Conduct market or competitive research to support strategic initiatives
  • Help manage project timelines and deliverables using project management tools
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for project execution

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BS degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field or an MBA
  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior (undergraduate) or an MBA student
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred experience with the following:
    • Project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Trello)
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
    • Prior internship or work experience in a business or commercial setting
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
