2026 Guardian Summer MBA Associate, Corporate Development

Our 2026 Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company.  You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interact with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and interns across our offices. This 10-week internship provides you with realistic experiences and information of what it is like to work at Guardian.

Internship Dates:

The internship program will run from Thursday, May 28, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026.

The team:

In the Corporate Development team, you will work as part of a project team and partner with senior leaders to identify, develop, evaluate, prioritize and deliver strategic transactions across the organization, as well as help solve complex problems and develop the long-range plans for Guardian. The group is responsible for working with the businesses to develop inorganic strategic theses, and identify, source, assess, develop, and execute M&A, venture and other enterprise and business partnerships, as well as manage and optimize these transactions and relationships.

You will have the opportunity to support on a range of high-priority projects spanning across strategy, M&A transactions, venture capital, and strategic partnerships.

You are:

  • A first-year MBA student (graduating between December 2026-June 2027), who is proactive, resourceful, impact oriented, and an excellent problem solver who is able to identify issues and perform analysis.

Location (housing is not provided):

  • New York, NY
  • 3 days a week at Guardian’s headquarters in Hudson Yards, New York

You have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and judgment with the ability to navigate relationships up and down the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to coordinate and lead complex workstreams
  • Passion about innovation in financial services, insurance, and / or technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative background with an ability to support financial modeling analysis
  • Ability to support high visibility enterprise initiatives and an ability to build a framework / path to help shape the direction of initiatives
  • Ability to influence while building trust and consensus among multiple stakeholders/cross functional teams with competing interests
  • Experience managing complex projects and/or timelines
  • Ability to navigate relationships and influence key stakeholders using strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and judgement

You will:

  • Be exposed to and influence the agendas of Guardian senior executives
  • Support the development of setting a strategic vision, direction and near-term priorities for Guardian supported by competitor/industry research and operational and financial analysis
  • Support cross-cutting strategic initiatives that are essential to the success of Guardian’s overall strategy

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered.  H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
  • You must be available for the full program dates of the internship program.

Salary Range:

The base pay range for this internship is $12,000 - $13,600 per month. Please ignore the hourly rate below.

Salary Range:

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
